Am i a writer?

I don't consider myself a writer because i get distracted very often and get off topic. I also think that writing for me is difficult because English is my second language so I'm not very great at reading or writing in English. I have always struggled with essays because I have never been the type of person to get good grades in my English classes. Overall i believe that i can be a writer if i decide to but its hard to become one when you get distracted easily. All my teachers have taught me the writing essays structures but i still believe that it fairly hard for me even when i do essays i think i don't do them right. Over the past year i have came to a conclusion that even if i don't like to write I'm going to have to become a better writer specially if i want to become someone successful in life.

  1. I have the same problem as you English is my second man language and it's harder for me to write. I'm not good at writing essays it takes me a while for me to come up with a sentence.

  3. I totally agree with you max some of us don't speak or write English that well. We all have our skills on writing and if we do put in the effort we could became great writers.

  4. Max, thank you for your honesty and expression. I understand that writing in English can be a struggle for second language learners, but my question then is would writing in your first language be easier? I honestly ask that because since I only am familiar with writing in English I know that I struggle with writing too. Especially when I was in high school, I wouldn't have considered myself a good writer and when I took the Hancock placement test I scored at a level where I was required to take a remedial English class. My point is that improving in any skill, especially a second language or any language does require work, work and more work. But language skills are powerful tools and knowing two languages are skills that are in demand in today's world. So keep on with the effort because it is worth it!
